Recently, the Health Testing Center Laboratory of Dekon Industrial Research Institute (the “Health Testing Center”) has passed the evalsuation and assessment of the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS) and obtained the CNAS laboratory accreditation certificate.
Prior to this, the review panel was entrusted by CNAS to conduct an initial review of the Health Testing Center Laboratory of Dekon Industrial Research Institute. As a representative of the Health Testing Center, Dr. Su Zhipeng, Vice President of Dekon Industrial Research Institute and Deputy Director of the Technical Center of Pig Business Division, participated in this review work with all laboratory staff.
During the on-site review, the person in charge of the laboratory accompanied the review panel to check the situation of each testing room in the Health Testing Center, and introduced and explained the sample-related process, equipment calibration and reagent storage, etc. The review panel conducted an all-round verification of laboratory management system documents, instruments, equipment and facilities, environmental conditions, testing reports, personnel training, internal audits and management review reports according to the Accreditation Criteria for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories (CNAS-CL01) and its application instructions, legal requirements and technical documents in the field of animal quarantine. The review panel conducted technical verification of the application projects through methods such as “retesting of reserved sample”, “on-site demonstration” and “blind sample testing”, and communicated with the authorized signatories of the laboratory to ensure that the ability met the requirements.
The supervision and review show that the laboratory management system operates effectively and is capable of conducting testing activities to meet the requirements of laboratory competence accreditation criteria. After on-site review and confirmation, the Health Testing Center has seven testing capabilities that meet CNAS accreditation requirements.
During this on-site review, in response to the constructive rectification suggestions proposed by the review experts, we organized all the staff to actively rectify and successfully passed the supervision and review of CNAS laboratory. Finally, we obtained the CNAS letter of approval and CNAS laboratory accreditation certificate.
It is understood that CNAS is a national accreditation body approved and authorized by the National Certification and Accreditation Administration, which is responsible for the accreditation of certification bodies, laboratories, inspection agencies and other related institutions. It is also a branch of International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) in China, and has the international credibility of one-time accreditation and global recognition. Because of its long certification and review time, high difficulty in passing accreditation and strict accreditation standards, it holds a pivotal position in the field of qualification accreditation.
The recognition by the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS) marks a milestone for Dekon Health Testing Center to enter a new stage of development. Dekon Health Testing Center will continue to strictly follow the requirements of CNAS management system, adhere to the principles of objectivity, fairness and impartiality, continuously implement the high-quality development requirements of Dekon Group, constantly improve the level of testing technology and quality management, provide solid technical support for Dekon’s pig health management, and safeguard the production of high-quality pigs by Dekon.
